​I’m Niki Berend — founder, owner, and baker of Holiday Cakery, a home-based vendor bakery operating under Indiana cottage food laws, launched in September 2025 right here in Columbus, Indiana. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Florida Gulf Coast University, but my true passion? Baking!
It all started with a simple holiday tradition: baking sugar cookies with my kids. Watching their faces light up as we pulled warm cookies from the oven quickly made it my favorite family ritual. (That’s where the name “Holiday Cakery” comes from!)
From holiday cookies to birthday cakes, I kept baking, learning, and growing — until one day, I decided to turn that passion into something more.
Holiday Cakery is the sweet result of that journey, and I’m so excited to share it with you!
